Sadly, this place has gone down hill with food. Me and my BF loved this place but over time the quality of food worsened as well as the drinks ! Had to send me drink back 2 times because there was too much sour mix in my drink

Probably the slowest service out of any large scale chain restaurant I've ever been to. Our waitress was stressed out, and so she proceeded the be extremely nasty about everything we asked for. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and just stay clear of this absolute shithole. And if you come here, you'll know what I mean

Love me some happy hour. The best Coors Light you will EVER have!! Food is delicious and the service is top notch! I go to this Applebee's any chance I get because I always leave satisfied. I have yet to find a better restaurant anywhere on Staten Island.

I'm giving this Applebee's 4 stars, but keep in mind, it's a 4 star Applebee's, I'm comparing it to other Applebee's not necessarily other real restaurants. Everyone has been to Applebee's at some point, so you pretty much know what to expect for the most part. I haven't been in a while, and there were some menu changes and updates that I did like. I happened to be there during happy hour, so the appetizers were discounted and I have to say, they were better than they used to be. The pretzels and cheese were oddly delicious. The entrees were as you would expect, I ordered the bbq burger, and I ordered that with bbq fries. I thought they would be seasoned nicely ala Five Guys cajun fries, but the waitress forgot they were supposed to be bbq so she brought me the seasoning in a little cup. I think it would have been tolerable had they been seasoned right out of the fryer, but even then, don't get the bbq fries. Service was good other than that. For an Applebee's, it was pretty good.

I'm forced to endure this place on a somewhat regular basis because of its appeal to kids. Each time I regret my choice of entree. I'm hard pressed to find something that's remotely tolerable!!! I started off with a simple burger & fries, figuring you can't screw that up. Boy, was I wrong about that! I've also tried a few chicken dishes and sandwiches, all horrible!!! Everything comes out ice cold & swimming in a puddle of grease. The fountain soda is often flat! The bathroom is totally vile! The service tends to fluctuate, but overall isn't too bad. I don't understand how these chain restaurants remain operational based on at least a dozen visits to this place!

The setup inside is nice, but the food is just never good. Because of all the shopping centers there, I wind up going here more than I'd like.

I'm really enjoying this Applebee's, the food is not 5 star but the atmosphere is comfortable, service is good from my experiences and honestly my 5 year old son loves this place. I'm giving this review a 4 star overall rating, pretty much based on service and comfort.

For an Applebee's I'll start by saying you get what you'd expect. Outside of that, my visits here have been less than what you'd expect. During a not so busy later dinner, I ordered grilled shrimp which came out swimming in a cream sauce, a ny strip ordered medium rare and came out very well done and the server forgot to input my sons order so he had to wait for his food after everything was brought to table. The manager did offer to re-fire the steak but I do not order re-fires in chain establishments. My second "complaint" is how do you decide that you will not offer car side to-go? I specifically said on the phone I was ordering for car side and after ordering everything I was told that Id have to pick up at bar because "we don't do that now". When I got there instead of bringing the food to the end of the bar I was told to come down to the register...not a big deal but it's just not great customer service when you can't walk five feet to give someone their order and let them pay. I was told that car side to-go is only Thursday-Saturday after 5 and they don't offer a military discount because they give out free meals on Labor Day and Memorial Day so I should go back then. The to-go order was cold (I was told 20 minutes to pick up and showed early but still cold), salad was barely there and tacos were limp (see pictures). All in all again, it's an Applebee's and you get what you pay for but simple customer service and expecting your food to at the very least be cooked correctly and served warm isn't asking much.

Been here a couple of times, and have yet to be disappointed. The food is good and there is a very friendly and attentive staff. Not much else to say because it is a chain restaurant, but if your looking for somewhere to eat not a bad choice. And kudos to Applebees being open after the big hurricane while everything else was closed.

I have to admit that usually the food and service here are pretty lousy. Tonight the food was excellent and served hot and how we asked for it. The only thing better was our waitress Jaimie who missed nothing and was always attentive. Even at 8 pm on a Friday night.

Service was good..... The Philly Burger was good, the roll sucked!!!! It should have been toasted or come up with a better roll... See ya!!!!!!

This Applebee's is very kid friendly with lots of kid activities; including characters walking around while you eat, popcorn machines, coloring.. which is great, except for when you do not have kids and go there to get drunk ::sigh:: isn't any place safe anymore? The service and food is standard. Aside from kiddies, this place is located by the Christmas Tree Shop so expect lots of bargain hunters (nothing wrong with that at all - I am one). I would come back here when the weather gets nicer, the outside area looks really nice and separate from everything, sure the view is a huge parking lot, but that's when those large fruity drink specials come into play...

I came in for a burger and I got great service, well prepared and served food, and Mike was kind enough to give me some ideas on what to check out my first time in New York. Thanks guys, this is the best applebees I have ever been to. Did I mention the bacon was crispy on my cowboy burger, there was parking, the place didnt stink, and the bar was clean? Damn good.

For me, it's take it or leave it. I enjoy the appetizers and I do love their French onion soup. But I've never enjoyed a single entree here. Their chicken has a strange texture and they over season the steak even when I ask them not to season it. I like my steak naked I should be able to order it like that. So I get the feeling all the steaks are per-seasoned which is a huge turn off. Good place to go for apps and drinks but not for dinner

Not good at all. My friend got sooo sick after eating burger there. I have yet to find a friendly waitress....I'm done.

Friendly enough service but applebees food is so tough to like.

This place has come a long way since it first opened. I remember being thrilled that an Applebees opened just down the street, just to find out that the service was horrible. The kids who worked there did not care that they had a job and management wasn't much better. I recently decided to give it another try and was pleasantly suprised. The waitstaff is more attentive and no longer leave you sitting at the table for extended periods of time wondering if you are ever going to get service. The drinks are ok, they used to be better, especially the perfect margarita. I remember when they used to bring the shaker to your table and you could get 2.5 drinks out of it, now you just get one. I can't believe they got rid of the onion peels, those were awesome! All in all- it's not a bad place, but don't expect an outstanding service experience.

Applebee's is one of those chain restaurants that can be a hit or miss depending on who's the manager. This particular one is in good hands. The food comes out in timely fashion and has some great flavors. The traditional buffalo wings or spinach dip is always a classic not to mention an extended menu of burgers/steaks/chicken. This Applebee's is usually not overly busy and has quick seating options making it great for family on the run or for those looking to catch the game without being in a mob of people at the bar.

Believe it or not, the food has gotten better and the Staten Island Applebee's are so much better than the one In Brooklyn I can't explain, it just is!
